The Splintered Heart series is an artistic expression that reflects a longing to integrate the deep attachments and affections that have emerged from my migration from Argentina to New York twenty five years ago.  It expresses the complexities of living a dual life, with divergent cultures, two different conceptions of reality at once.  Through images and colors both abstract and tangible, the artwork explores the meaning of identity, home and belonging.

Using collage, I literally paste together, unite and rebuild pieces of myself.  This work allows me to integrate pieces of my inner world that have been splintered between my country of origin and my new, adopted home.The work combines art, intuition, poetry and heals the pains caused by a lifetime that is overlaid by physical division and separation.
